<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an X-ray baggage inspection apparatus that prevents lowering of the accuracy of the discrimination of a suspicious object by the visual observation of a radioscopic image by correcting the image distribution of the radioscopic image of baggage due to the change in the baggage conveyance speed of a baggage conveyance apparatus by a manual operation. SOLUTION: Baggage 4 as an object to be inspected on a belt conveyor apparatus 5 is moved between an X-ray source 1 and an X-ray detector 6, which faces it. An X-ray flux 2 which is radiated from the X-ray source 1 is transmitted through the baggage 4, which is being moved, and it is converted into an electric signal by the X-ray detector 6, which is composed of a phosphor used to convert light into X-rays and of a photodiode row. The signal which is converted into a digital signal via an A/D converter 9 is passed through a correction circuit 10 used to execute an offset correction and a sensitivity correction and through an interface 11, and it is stored in an image storage device 12. Then, the timing of a write operation and a read operation with reference to the image storage device 12 is controlled so as to follow a change in a detected conveyor speed, and the image distribution of a baggage radioscopic image due to the change in the conveyor speed is eliminated.</p> |
