PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration or fusion of toner by the heat of a fixing device with a simple structure, in a multicolor image forming device having a fixing device situated lower than the rotating shaft of a rotating mechanism for supporting a developing cartridge, and provide a small-sized multicolor image forming device at low cost. SOLUTION: In a rotating mechanism 9 for supporting four developing cartridges 4a, 4b, 4c, 4d, the stop position of each developing cartridge is set toα,β,γ,δof 90 deg. interval, and after image formation is ended, the developing cartridge 4a is arranged in the positionαwhen the remainder is O when the total printed number of sheets is divided by 4, and the developing cartridge 4b when it is 1, the developing cartridge 4c when it is 2, and the developing cartridge 4d when it is 3 are similarly arranged in the positionα. Thus, the developing cartridge stopped most adjacently to a fixing device 25 is selected at random, so that a specified developing cartridge can be prevented from being influenced by the heat of the fixing device 25. |
