PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently display the map of a desired position by gradually increasing the speed for continuously varying the display range for a map up to a fixed final speed with a preset fixed acceleration. SOLUTION: When it is judged that a cursor key has become on-state, an instruction to start scrolling is sent to a side to control a map plotting in a system controller 13. Next, when it is judged that there is a scroll start instruction, an initial value is set in a counter in the system controller 13. And, the display area is sequentially varied in an ordered direction. In this case, when a cursor key starts being pushed, an initial velocity is set as a scroll speed, and the scroll is increased in the speed with a constant acceleration for a fixed elapse of time from the time point when the cursor key started to be pushed. After that, a display range is scrolled at a final speed until the cursor key is released and the scrolling ceases. |
