PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrophotographic photoreceptor having favorable electrical characteristics and image characteristics, e.g. an electrophotographic photoreceptor ensuring satisfactory dispersion of an electric charge generating material, excellent in electrification ability and also having satisfactory initial sensitivity and stability of repetitive characteristics. SOLUTION: This electrophotographic photoreceptor contains an electric charge generating material, an electric charge transferring material and a bonding resin in the same photosensitive layer on the electrically conductive layer. The electric charge generating material is an adduct of a titanium phthalocyanine compd. to diol, e.g. an adduct of titanyl phthalocyanine to 2,3- butanrdiol and the particle diameter of most of the adduct is within the range of 0.02-0.1μm.
