PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device in which an image of satisfactory quality from which color convergence or density unevenness is removed can be provided by correcting the fluctuation of carrying speed or position of a belt. SOLUTION: A resist pattern is formed on an intermediate transfer belt 7 by one photoreceptor 3. The interval of the respective patterns transferred onto the intermediate transfer belt 7 is fluctuated by a speed fluctuation caused in transfer. The passing timing of the resist pattern is read by a reading part 21 set on the downstream side of the photoreceptor 3 to detect the speed (position) fluctuation. This detection data is obtained over several periods of the intermediate transfer belt 7, and the low frequency component resulted from the thickness unevenness of the intermediate transfer belt 7 is extracted. Since the extracted data is influenced by the fluctuations in both the formation of the resist pattern and the reading, this is corrected to calculate the true speed (position) fluctuation data, and a drive roll 8, for example, is controlled on the basis of this data to form an image. |
