PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve collision judgment capability by detecting moving acceleration due to shock in horizontal and vertical axes directions and obtaining velocity change amount (or movement change amount), multiplying angle coefficient to the velocity change amount in one axial direction, comparing the multiplied results and the velocity change amount in the other axis direction and judging the collision angle. SOLUTION: From each of acceleration signals in Y-and X-axial directions directions detected with acceleration sensors 22 and 62 of middle unit 1c of a vehicle, velocity change amount for specific time scale are obtained with section integrators 72 and 73. The output of the section integrator 72 is supplied to a non-reverse input terminal of the comparator 81 and the reversed input terminal of comparator 82, the output of the section separator 73 is made always positive with an absolute circuit 74, which is multiplied by an angle coefficient with a multiplier 75 and added a constant with an adder 77. The result is supplied to the reversed input terminal of the comparator 81 and then sign is reversed in the adder 79 and supplied to a non-reversed input terminal of a comparator 82. The output of the comparators 81, 82 are supplied to an AND gate as shock angle signals in the left and the right side of each vehicle and stable and exact collision angle is obtained. |
