PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge plate and device capable of stably keeping the edge part of the discharge plate in a linear contact state with a photoreceptor. SOLUTION: In the discharge device 42, the discharge plate 46 is arranged to incline to the photoreceptor 12 and the top end of the discharge plate 46 comes into contact with the photoreceptor, to remove an electric charge remaining on the photoreceptor. In such a case, the discharge plate 46 has an arch-like laminated structure including first and second layers 48 and 50 and at least, the layer 50 on which a recessed surface is formed has conductivity. Further, the layer 50 is arranged on the side of the photoreceptor and the edge part 52 of the layer 50 is in linear contact with the photoreceptor. |
