PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sirocco fan with a muffling box obtaining sufficient cooling effect on an inverter even in the case of a small air quantity of the fan without increasing noise by the inverter cooling fan and suppressing lowering of inverter cooling effect even in the case of being used for the exhaust as well as reducing the number of machined types of sirocco fans with muffling boxes by a large margin. SOLUTION: This sirocco fan with a muffling box is provided with a muffling box 1 and a sirocco fan 2 and constituted in such a way as to guide air sucked from a suction port 3a of the muffling box 1, to a suction port 2a of the sirocco fan 2 through a passage 6 formed of sound absorbing material 5 and to pressurize the air by the sirocco fan 2 to discharge it from a discharge port 4a, and a motor 8 for driving the sirocco fan 2 is operated by the output of an inverter 10. In this case, the inverter 10 is arranged piercing the outside plate of the muffling box 1 and the sound absorbing material 5 and also arranged in such a way that a heat sink 10c is on the inside of the muffling box 1. A micro clearance 11 piercing the inside and outside of the muffling box 1 to the inverter 10 is provided upstream of a passage of a through hole of the inverter 10 in the outside plate. The motor 8 is operated at variable speed by the output of the inverter 10. |
