PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing device for planographic printing plates capable of continuously executing good development processing by preventing unequal development. SOLUTION: This processing device for the photosensitive planographic printing plates has a heating section 3 which subjects the photosensitive planographic printing plates having photopolymerizable photosensitive layers to a heat treatment by a heating means after exposure and a developing section 5 which immerses the planographic printing plates subjected to the heat treatment into a developer and executes the development processing thereof. The device is provided with a guide roller 36 which exists behind a brush roller 35 of the developing section 5 and comes into contact with the entire area of at least the image plane. The skin of this guide roller 36 is so formed that the deformation rate (sinking rate) when a face pressure of 0.98N(100g.f) per 1cm<2> is applied thereon is 0.5 to 5mm and that the friction coefft between a printing plate and the surface part in the developer is >=0.2. As a result, the unequal development of the image forming parts of the photosensitive planographic printing plates is averted.
