PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove such corona product as ozone adhering to the surface of an image carrier to stably obtain an image having high quality without image deterioration by toner caused by the corona product adhering. SOLUTION: When the total amount of toner consumed at plural developing devices 4 in the case of image formation becomes specified toner amount, the amount of the toner adhering to the corona product adhering to the surface of the photoreceptor 2 is increased. In order to prevent this state, developing operation by which the toner does, not adhere to the surface of the photoreceptor by the two-component developer on the developing sleeve is performed in the case of the non-image formation other than the image formation while the photoreceptor 2 and the developing sleeve of one developing device 4 rotate, abut on each other, and travel; so that the surface of the photoreceptor 2 is wiped by the developer and the corona product on the surface of the photoreceptor 2 is removed. |
