An erasable ink for marking boards is provided which includes a water dispersibl e pigment, silica, a latex and/or a spreading agent, and water, said ink having the ability to form continuous unbroken lines on a smooth, substantially non-porous surface said lines being erasable from said surface, after drying, by a dry eraser.
