PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method and the device for speech reproducing in which no change is made for an interval even though the reproducing speed is vaired. SOLUTION: In the voice reproducing method, in which original speech signals 'a' recorded on a recording medium are reproduced, the signals 'a' are passed through a low pass filter and fundamental speech signals 'd' (consists of a fundamental period Tp) are extracted. Then, rising zero cross points D of the signals 'd' are detected. After the detection of the points D, the signals 'a' are segmented into subframes C (C1 , C2 , C3 , C4 , C5 and C6 ) at the positions corresponding to the points D on a time axis. If a reproducing speed is to be increased, a portion of the subframes C is deleted. If the speed is to be decreased, repetition is made for once or twice to generate reproduced speech signals 'e' and the signals 'e' are continuously reproduced. |
