<p>Solid, pref. fire-resistant, material in the form of slabs, lining elements, moulded bodies, etc. consists of one or more base substances, e.g. silicon carbide, pref. one or more additional substances, e.g. glass fibres and at least one resinous adhesive, pref. a polyester adhesive. The material has good mechanical and chemical stability and may be used in building, as containers, etc. a suitable composition is 40-50% base substance, 5-15% glass fibres and 55-35% unsatd. polyester adhesive, opt. contg. styrene foaming agent etc.</p> |
