<p>Process for repeated batch production of azo dyes, consisting of two chemical reactions, viz. diazotisation of the active component and coupling the diazo compd. with the passive component; characterised in that in each batch a constant amt. (V1) of the soln. or suspension of the appropriate component is charged to one of the two reactions, the concn. of the appropriate component varying in the range (K1 plus-or-minus a), and either a smaller amt. V3 V2. K1-a./K1 K2-b/K2 or a larger amt. V4 >=V2. K1+a/K1 . K2+b/K2 of the soln. or suspension of the remaining component is automatically charged to the second reaction, the concn. of the remaining component varying in the range K2 plus-or-minus b, wherein V2 is the amt. corresponding to the theoretical consumption which refers to the amt. V1 in maintaining the concns. K1 and K2, and wherein the choice of V3 or V4 is regulated automatically according to the amt. of soln. or suspension of the diazo compd. remaining after the preceding coupling.</p> |
