PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a lubricant composition for high-temperature metal working and a method of tube punching by using this lubricant composition. SOLUTION: This lubricant composition (1) for high-temperature metal working comprises 100 pts.wt. of graphite, 1-50 pts.wt. of a molybdate, and 1-50 pts.wt. of a silicate. This lubricant composition is formulated to a lubricant for high-temperature metal working which is composed of 10-70wt.% of the lubricating composition (1) and the remaining part which substantially consists of water. The tube punching comprises spraying the lubricant of (2) to a mandrel bar kept at 600 deg.C or higher temperature, mounting a bottomed hollow tube heated to a predetermined temperature on the mandrel bar, then pushing the bottomed hollow tube together with the mandrel bar into a hole of a dice. |
