PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a sealing properly between a communication pipe, which is used for feeding oil to an oil chamber of a hydraulic servo, and a cylinder drum in the hydraulic servo. SOLUTION: An oil seal device for an automatic transmission is provided with an oil chamber 25 in the inside, a cylindrical member which receives external force so as to move within the predetermined range in the circumference direction, a cylindrical seal member 77 which is pressed to the cylindrical member and is arranged with its point 77a faced to an oil hole 73 formed in the cylindrical member, and an oil supply means supplying oil to the oil chamber 25 via the oil path 72 connected to the inside of the seal member 77 and the oil hole 73. A recess part 87 is formed around the oil hole 73 on the outside surface of the cylindrical member, and the tip 77a of the seal member 77 is stored in the recess part 87. Even when the cylindrical member is moved within the predetermined range because of application of external force, the tip 77a of the seal member 77 is protected by means of the recess part 87. As damage of the tip 77a of the seal member 77 can be prevented, a sealing property can be improved. |
