PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable stationary rolling of an aluminum or aluminum alloy plate to a rolled plate having good surface properties without lowering of the oil-draining property by controlling the content of fine metallic powder in a water-dispersed rolling oil composition to a level smaller than a specific level in the rolling operation, thereby preventing the increase of the viscosity of the composition. SOLUTION: An aluminum or aluminum alloy plate is rolled by using a water- dispersed hot-rolling oil composition (Z) containing (A) a mineral oil dispersed in water in the form of droplets having an average particle diameter of 5-15μm, (B) a 10-22C fatty acid (1-22C alkyl monoester) or an oil or fat, (C) a 4-18C alkyl or alkenylphosphoric acid ester and (D) an organic acid salt [the acid is expressed by the formula R<4> COOH (R<4> is a 1-5C alkyl, etc.)] of a copolymer of a monomer of the formula (R<1> is H or CH3 ; R<2> and R<3> are each H or a 1-3C alkyl; (m) is 0 or 1; (n) is 1-3) and (meth)acrylamide or a (meth)acrylic acid salt and having an average molecular weight of 10,000-1,000,000. The content of metal powder having an average particle diameter of <=0.1μm in the composition Z in rolling is controlled to <=1,000ppm by filtration, etc. |
