PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of discharge memory caused by the overdischarge of a photoreceptor, even if the film thickness of a photoreceptive layer is decreased according to the resistance level to printing of the photoreceptor by providing a control part for controlling capacity to destaticize, in accordance with the resistance level to the printing of the photoreceptor. SOLUTION: This discharge device 22 is provided with a conductive frame 24 freely detachably fixed on a holder 16 and a discharge sheet 26 which is electrically connected/fixed to the frame 24 and made of conductive metal. The end part of the discharge sheet 26 is in contact with the outer periphery of the photoreceptor 10. At the time of forming an image, information on the resistance level to the printing of the photoreceptor 10 is transmitted to a controller 30 from a detector 32 for the resistance level to the printing of the photoreceptor 10. The controller 30 controls the output voltage of a power source 28, in accordance with the resistance level to the printing. Thus, the adjusted voltage is applied to the discharge sheet 26 with the frame 24 and an electric charge remaining on the photoreceptor 10 after a transfer is performed is removed. Then, the photoreceptor 10 is electrified to a fixed potential by an electrifier 14, to get ready for the next work. |
