PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the accurate control by controlling a vehicle on the basis of the updated road information, by obtaining the necessary road information from the road information for guide, corresponding to a detected location of one's own vehicle, and updating the road information for control on the basis of the obtained road information for guide. SOLUTION: The forward road information corresponding to the location of one's own vehicle, is obtained from a data memory (S10), and then the vehicle information is obtained (S3). Then a zone judging routine is executed, and the road information for vehicle control, is updated on the basis of the obtained road information for guide (S50). Whether the zone, curve, and up shift forbidding controls are necessary or not, is judged on the basis of the road information for control, and a zone control routine (S70), a curve control routine (S90) and an up shift forbidding control routine (S100) are executed. The lowest upper limit value among the upper limit values of the gear change stage independently decided in the zone, curve, and up shift forbidding control routines, is selected, and the instruction of the upper limit of the gear change stage is output (S110). |
