CONTROL METHOD FOR FUEL INJECTION AMOUNT OF DIESEL ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve momentarily advanced injection control through pilot injection and/or main injection. SOLUTION: A process is provided to control an amount of fuel injected in a diesel engine consisting of at least one cylinder. The process comprises a stage (a) wherein a pressure fluctuation value (ΔP) is measured through a specified time of an engine cycle by at least one cylinder regarding two continuous cycles having different injection characteristics; a stage (b) wherein a difference between an amount of fuel actually injected to a cylinder and a theoretical amount of fuel is estimated; and a stage (c) wherein an injection parameter is momentarily adjusted so that an amount of fuel actually injected is balanced with an amount of fuel theoretical injected. The process is preferably executed during stable operation of an engine.
