PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic image developer improved in environmental dependency of charge of toner, powder flowing property, and caking resistance, minimized in change on standing of charging property, and capable of providing an excellent image quality over a long period. SOLUTION: In an electrostatic image developer containing a toner and a carrier, the toner contains a toner grain having an average grain size of 3-9μm, a hydrophobic silica fine particle having a BET specific surface area of 40-120m<2> /g, and a hydrophobic titanium oxide fine particle having a BET specific surface area of 40-250m<2> /g, and the carrier is formed of a resin coated carrier having a coast by resin. In the above electrostatic developer, the ration (b/a) of the weight (a wt.%) of the hydrophobic silica fine particle to the weight (b wt.%) of the hydrophobic titanium oxide fine particle is preferably b/a<1. |
