PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely input information by a simple method by reading the display pattern of an external display device displaying the plural patterns with time series and setting the information based on it. SOLUTION: By the pattern display part 1, the pattern whose luminance is uniform and the pattern whose bright and dark luminance are changed stepwise are displayed on a personal computer and the screen thereof. By the luminance, an instruction with respect to a data stream producing part 9 is shown. The pattern is passed through a photographing lens 100 and a focus detection optical system 2 and guided to an image sensor. Besides, the storage time thereof is controlled by a storage time control part 4. Then, the luminance of an object is detected by a luminance detection part 5 and the contrast of an optical image is detected by a contrast detection part 7. By a decode part 8, data displayed by the display part 1 is decoded based on the detected luminance and the detected contrast. Then, the data is made into a data stream by the producing part 9. Based on it, the function of the camera is set by a function set part 10. |
