<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of ensuring a jam processing space without enlarging the device, and easily performing the replacing work of a structural part. SOLUTION: An opening and closing unit 78 having a support plate 80, a carrying belt 91 mounted on the support plate, and a transfer charger 48 is provided so as to be rotatable to an operating position capable of executing image forming operation, a first open position for opening a carrying passage to allow a jam treatment, and a second open position provided between the operating position and the first open position. In the second open position, the transfer charger of the opening and closing unit is opposed to the opening part 82a of an equipment body to allow the taking-out from the equipment body. A switching mechanism 114 for switching the opening and closing unit to each position has a selector lever 132 operable from the outside of the equipment body, and the selector lever can switch the opening and closing unit to the second open position by removing a waste toner housing pack 134.</p> |
