FIELD: molecular biology, agriculture. SUBSTANCE: recipient cells obtained from friable embryogenic callus culture capable to regeneration are fired on by microparticles covered with DNA. Callus culture of nonmatured embryos is used as lumps 30-80 mg that are cultured on solid nutrient medium. Inserted DNA can contain gene encoding seed protein. Method can be used for preparing fertile transgenic maize plants and for recombinant DNA incorporation in chromosome.
