FIELD: processing of biomass, such as mature cereals, to obtain solid product, which may be used as solid fuel. SUBSTANCE: pressed product is formed as corrugated sheet with continuous side and wide upper and lower surfaces. Side end surfaces are made rough and fibrous, with fibers projecting from end surfaces. Apparatus has two rotary bodies meshed in the manner similar to gears whose teeth define radial walls with radial channels for pressing, moving biomass in inward direction and cutting off mass portions. Side surfaces of radial walls have wavy profile. Radial channels are disposed between walls and have wavy profile corresponding to that of radial walls.
