A cardboard coat hanger is made from a single diamond-shaped panel and two hook-shaped components attached to it. The main panel is scored by machine to make convex and concave fold lines so that the hanger becomes rigid when deployed in a two movements, forming two surfaces which slope downwards from a hook and tips which drop at an angle. The deployed hanger measures, for example 50 cm long by 30 cm high, and folds flat when not in use.
