The switch mode power supply has a primary winding (L1) with one end connected alternately to ground and to the positive supply terminal through a switch bridge (I1,I2). The switches are alternately conducting. A diode (D1,D2) is connected across each of the switches. The other end of the primary winding is connected to the common point of a second circuit comprising two capacitors (C1, C2) connected in series between the ground and the positive supply terminal. The switches are controlled by a sequencer (S) to modify the current level in the primary winding. The sequencer operates at a frequency within the range of frequencies allowed in motor vehicles. The primary is connected to the secondary winding (L2) through a magnetic circuit (CM). |
