PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a client/server type KARAOKE (orchestration without lyrics) LAN system with high disk using efficiency by reducing only the designated number of disks without changing the whole contents of a data base, and selecting the proper housing place of a new disk when the extremely large number of disks groups whose contents are different including the disk groups with the same title are housed while properly distributed to plural disk changer type reproducing devices. SOLUTION: A KARAOKE bar receives the issue of a disk reduction examining command for reducing only the prescribed number of the total number of disks without changing the whole contents of a KARAOKE data base (S1), examines reproduction frequency data, the number of the housed disks, and average reproduction frequency data (S2), compares and examines the disks to be reduced based on those values (S3), and outputs data indicating which disk in the data base should be reduced for obtaining an empty area for adding a new disk to a system manager (S4). |
