Braking unit for use on a jack without a rod consisting of a cylinder, in the interior of which moves the rodless piston (4), a slide (6), solid with the rodless piston (4) moves on the exterior of the cylinder. It is characterised in that it contains at least two braking shoes (10,12,14) mounted on the slide (6) on one side or the other of a metal strip (8) which extends along one face of the cylinder. At least one of the shoes (10) is mobile on order produce a wedging action of the strip between the two shoes (10,12). |
