FIELD: erection and repair of pipe lines. SUBSTANCE: device has rod with end-piece, pivot and stop. In its upper portion rod is provided with spring-loaded bush with handle and recorder. When handle is acted on, end-piece is forced into ground up to the stop. Compactness of ground is shown by recorder readings. Device excludes effect of friction of ground on magnitude of coefficient of ground bed. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of determination. 2 dwg
