<p>Segregated liquid medicinal fractions to be dried for test purposes are placed in upright open-topped tubes forming a squirrel-cage basket surrounded by a stirred, temp.-controlled bath. A matching array of vertical fine tubes suspended above the basket can be lowered to a depth appropriate to the drying rate required while compressed air or gas from a header passes down the fine tubes and bubbles up through the liquid to evaporate and dry the samples. The array can be raised rapidly for exchange of baskets.</p> |
