FIELD: transport engineering; walking vehicles. SUBSTANCE: walking mechanism of automobile has parallel driving and driven shafts with sprockets on ends and endless chains passed over sprockets. Post is hinge-connected to one of links of each chain. Post is designed for resting against support surface. Levers with slots are hinge-mounted on frame at automobile sides. Sliders, moving in slots, are coupled with posts installed in levers for vertical displacement. EFFECT: simplified design. 2 cl, 3 dwgn
