The system has first and second windows (11,31) separated by a base distance, and with directions of view towards an object. A deflector (32) behind the second window varies the corresponding direction of view, and a combination device (13) combines the components of light from the object passing through both windows. An input device contains distance information corresponding to the object's distance. A controller manages the deflector so that the direction of view through the second window is varied, so that the light components from the object passing via both windows coincide for the defined object distance.
