A strongly acidic electrolyzed water having an endotoxin concentration of not more than 15 EU/l one hr after the preparation thereof; a process for preparing the strongly acidic electrolyzed water involving the electrolysis of reversely osmosed water; an endotoxin inactivator comprising the strongly acidic electrolyzed water; and a method for inactivating endotoxin by bringing the strongly acidic electrolyzed water into contact with an area or a surface where endotoxin is present.
