<p>In a device and a method for producing an absorbent structure in an absorbent product, such as a sanitary napkin, panty protector, incontinence protector, diaper or the like, an airpermeable shaping element in the form of an endless belt (2), a so-called wire gauze, is driven over a delimited space (1) in which an underpressure is present during use caused by air being sucked out through the endless belt (2) into the space (1). This space is momentarily delimited by partly a part of said first endless belt (2), partly a part of a second endless belt (3) which runs parallel with the first belt (2), and partly by a pair of bars (4) situated essentially transverse to the common direction of movement of the belts (2, 3) which are fastened to the second belt (3) and in sealing contact with the first belt (2). The space is further delimited laterally in one direction by an evacuation suction box (9) and in the other direction by a further evacuation suction box (9) or a cover plate (10).</p> |
