The brake shoe (1) has a lining support (2) with a support surface (3). The support is laid in a lining shaft (4) which is formed so as to correspond to the outer profile of the brake shoe. By braking, the elastic, relative deformation that occurs is evenly distributed between the lining shaft and the brake shoe. In the non-braked position the support surface of the brake shoe's lining is at an angle ( beta ) relative to the lining shaft. By braking at a low braking force, this angle is compensated by a similar angle of deformation.
