Methods for preparing dry powders having hydrophobic and hydrophilic components comprise combining solutions or suspensions of the components and spray drying them simultaneously in a spray drier. The hydrophilic component is dissolved in an aqueous solution and the hydrophobic component suspended therein. The method provides dry powders having relatively uniform characteristics.
