The invention relates to a strap which is fitted at least partially around the pelvic and/or loin area of a cyclist and connected with one part of the bicycle. The strap is connected with a corresponding part of the bicycle at an angle of less than 90 DEG , starting from the point of maximum pressure of the strap on the pelvic area, in the direction of the road surface as well as in the opposite direction. The strap makes possible effective use of energy when cycling and relieves the torso and arm muscles as well as the spinal column.
