The display unit device can be in the form of a car parking permit that has a rotary disc 2 which is contained within a rectangular envelope. The envelope is formed with cut out slots 12 that allow the times printed on the disc to be viewed. The disc has a serrated edge 20 for ease of turning, and the envelope is fabricated as a single item of card that has appropriate cut 22 and fold lines 7,9 to enable creation of the final shape.
