Ultrasound presence detector system

There is provided a centering device for presetting the transducer into a rest position with zero pivot angle, from which the transducer is moved by a scanner-drive device. There is also a connecting device which couples the transducer and the transmit-receive device together electrically so that the signal energy is sent out and received during the scan with the greatest possible freedom from noise. Pref. the scan drive is electromagnetic, and is operated by a pulse generator. An armature is moved by the force from a coil, and has limit stops.
