Transparent, thin-walled soda glass tubes are manufactured, hermetically sealed and assembled into panels. The transmission of sunlight is increased by treatment. Thermal insulation properties are increased by sealing in a low thermally conductive gas, e.g. Xenon, and evacuating this.
