1344003 Grease cartridges CONSOLIDATED GLASS WORKS Ltd 19 April 1971 [13 Feb 1970 10 April 1970] 21809/71 Heading B8 [Also in Division F1] A cartridge for a grease gun comprises a plastics sleeve having a flange 8 or a series of peripheral lugs which can be gripped between the head 9 and the casing 6 of a grease gun, a circumferential ridge 14 or circumferentially disposed lugs which can be engaged by a piston 15 to assist removal of a spent cartridge and one or more saw-tooth ribs 11 which can engage the casing 6 to prevent movement of the cartridge end 10. To insert a full cartridge in a gun, plastics end caps (5, Fig. 1) having ducts (13) accommodating the flange 8 and ribs 11 are removed. The cap ducts (13) may be provided with annular ribs (12) to improve cap fastening. The gum casing 6 may comprise a sleeve or cage. |
