<p>A dispenser/applicator for a liquid such as a cosmetic or medicinal skin product held under pressure in a container (2), released by lateral movement of a valve stem (5), consists of a cover housing (6) with a support (8, 9) for the applicator (10) connected to the valve stem, and an actuator (16, 20, 22, 30) which controls the opening of the valve and the delivery of the liquid to the applicator. The actuator is made in one piece with the cover housing, and its components pivot about at least two axes (17, 21) lying perpendicular to the axis of the container, so that the valve is opened by a pressure applied on a level with its stem. The applicator support is connected to the valve stem by a flexible coupling which keeps the applicator in one position while the valve stem is being moved. The cover housing is made from a rigid or semi-rigid thermoplastic such as polypropylene, polyethylene or other polyolefin.</p> |
