A pad (1) including thermal insulation and heat sink areas is suitable as a heat reflection shield and heat accumulator for the heat dissipation at desired areas. The pad includes such material which enables the pad to be formable when being attached to a particular object. The pad comprises a plurality of layers of metal foil forming a stack with the layers arranged one above the other in a vertical direction. The stack is compressed thus forming the heat accumulating and insulating areas.
