Process for the preparation of amides of acrylic or methacrylic acid

Preparation of amides functionalised by a cationisable tertiary amine. An acrylic or methacrylic ester is reacted with a diamine in the presence of a polymerisation inhibitor and assisted by one or more enzymes with active sites specific to the ester function of the methacrylic ester. Also claimed are the amide products obtained by the process.
