PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability in printing and recyclability of document data by a method wherein even when printing is performed under a system environment different from one wherein document data is formed by a computer program, the printing is performed on a paper of which dimensions are the same as in the formed time. SOLUTION: A paper ID obtaining means 2-2 that converts a paper size having real dimensions (length×breadth) recorded in document data 3 to a paper ID regulated corresponding to a kind of a printer by printer driver is provided on a printing means 2 in a computer program 1. The obtained paper ID is notified to the printer driver 4 at the printing. As a result, even when the printing is performed by the computer program 1 under a system environment (e.g. OS, printer driver) which is different from one wherein the document data 3 is formed, a user does not need to pay attention to the size of the paper to be printed and to confirm and reset the paper size before printing the document data 3.
