PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable joining a preceding strip of film and a following strip of film through their positioning with ease and good efficiency of the work. SOLUTION: On a run-path for a strip of film F a pair of clamping members 27, 32; 28, 33, consisting of anterior and posterior clamping members, are arranged and a preceding strip of film F1 clamped by these clamping members is cut by a cutter 49. Next only the posterior clamping member is released, the part posterior to the cut part is removed, and instead a following strip of film F2 is moved forward until it touches the anterior clamping member 32. In this manner the positioning of the following film F2 in relation to the preceding film F1 can be done. Again the following film F2 is clamped by the posterior clamp 33 and, following the clamping, a heater 45 is energized, causing the two strips of film F1, F2 to be joined at the overlaid part. After that, the two clamps 32, 33 are released and the joined films resume the running. |
