PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten the effect of supporting a head with a head rest by effectively reducing the space between the head and the head rest considering the physical constitution of an occupant, driving posture, etc., when a vehicle collides. SOLUTION: An upper back panel 22 is laterally provided on the upper position of the back frame 14 of a seat back 12 corresponding to the breast of a occupant seated on a seat 10 and, when the occupant moves backward when a vehicle collides against it from behind, a pad 30A on the head rest 30 abuts upon the crew's head by an expanding part 22a of the upper back panel 22 expanding and a head rest stay 24 connected to the upper back panel 2 rotating. When the head rest 30 is ready to move further to the front, an air bag 32, which is provided inside the head rest 30, is crushed as absorbing the impact by the air in the air bag 32 drawing out through a nozzle 32A. |
