PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To polish up the surface of polished rice completely without necessitating water so as to prevent the generation of filthy water, eliminating the influence by the fluctuation of water content and a temperature and preventing the sugar content reduction and the breaking of polished rice by stirring a mixture obtained by adding rice bran and a grinding material to polished rice and then separating polished rice. SOLUTION: Polished rice, rice bran, and a grinding material having a size 2-3 times the size of rice grain and consisting of metallic pieces, wood pieces, ceramic pieces, plastic pieces, etc., are supplied respectively for a polished rice tank 21, a rice bran tank 22 and a grinding material tank 23. The mixture is successively supplied for first to fourth tumblers 12A to 12D to be stirred. The polished rice is separated from the mixture after stirring. |
