PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermal transfer recording medium in which the stripping properties of a thermal fusion layer and the fixing properties and stillness of a transfer image are satisfied by adding a specified modified silicone to a thermal fusion ink layer and/or a stripping layer. SOLUTION: The thermal transfer recording medium comprises a basic material sheet, a thermal fusion ink layer, and a stripping layer provided between. The thermal fusion ink layer and/or the stripping layer contains a specified modified silicone, i.e., an ethylene-silicone-ethylene block copolymer (ESR) having melting point of 35-150 deg.. The ESE is a copolymer having an ethylene bond (-CH2 -) and a siloxane bond (-Si-O-) in a molecule wherein the repetitive part of ethylene bond and the repetitive part of siloxane bond are arranged in block on the order of (the repetitive part of ethylene bond)-(the repetitive part of siloxane bond)-(the repetitive part of ethylene bond). |
